FANCY FOOD SHOW NYC ’09
September 1, 2009
It is hard to believe that 7 weeks have rushed past since the Fancy Food Show in NYC. We had an amazing time seeing old friends and meeting new ones…
Well Steve is officially on YouTube and it is legit – he is not putting mentos into soda bottles and setting them off like rockets – maybe next week. The NASFT film crews interviewed some exhibitors about the show and it is like a mini-documentary/film preview. It really gets you excited about next year’s event. Steve begins speaking at about 1:15 secs into the piece and then you see him in front of our booth and he continues to talk for a little longer.
After the interv
iew, he spent a little time with Stephen F. Hall, famous author and great guy! He is a huge champion of the specialty food industry and has written alot to help people starting out in the business or groups that have been on the shelves for years.
We also had a great time with the group visiting from Japan. They partnered up with The Virginia Department of Agriculture to find new foods and to work on getting them exported to Japan. Our Fig Agave Balsamic (FAB!) and our Lavender Vinaigrette will be headed to Tokyo in November with the state of Virginia and a chef from the Commonwealth. It is very exciting for Virginia food companies.
Steve made an appearance on MSNBC’s “Your Business” this past Sunday morning. He was interviewed at the Fancy Food Show and they posed his question to a panel. Great information on the topic of PR. Amazing things happened at the Fancy Food Show, we are already looking forward to 2010.
